XC Medico® Distal Femoral Locking Plate
The distal femoral locking plate is made of pure titianium (TC4 ).
The distal femoral locking Plate System is available in a variety of sizes.(5-13 lcp holes in the plate shaft). Combi holes in the plate shaft accept 4.5 mm cortex screws in the dynamic compression unit portion, 5.0 mm locking screws in the threaded portion. 5 Round threaded locking holes on the plate head accept 5.0mm locking screw.
Feature:
1. Combi hole allows the surgeon to choose between conventional plating techniques, locked plating techniques, or a combination of both
2. Threaded hole section for locking screws provides ability to create fixed-angle constructs
3. Smooth dynamic compression unit (DCU) hole section for standard screws allows for Load (compression) and neutral screw positions
The screw head and plate interface are designed with a low profile to minimize soft tissue irritation and impact.
The Distal Femoral Locking Plate System can also be used in combination with K-wires for complex long bone or periprosthetic fractures.
The preshaped plate better fit the structure of the distal femur, it decreases potential issues with soft tissues
