Short Description:

The XC Medico® TEN– Titanium Elastic Nail is the intramedullary nail indicated for fixation of diaphyseal fractures where the canal is narrow or flexibility of the implant is paramount, especially used in Pediatrics.

In Pediatrics, XC Medico® TEN can be used for the fractures of long bones, some kinds of metaphyseal/ epiphyseal fractures like radial neck fractures, clavicular fractures, open fractures and so on. Children’s bones keep growing, and the flexibility of TEN allows it to fix the bone without damaging its growth plate.

In Adults, XC Medico® TEN is usually used for the fractures of upper extremity fractures, like clavicle, forearm and humerus.

1.Material: Titanium alloy (TC3).

5.In Operation: In the operation, use two nails of the same diameter to make sure the opposing bending forces are equal. Contour the nails into a bow shape with the nail tip pointing to the concave side of the bowed nail, with the instrument plate-bending or the nail bender in the matching instrument set.

6.Specification: The TEN is available in 6 diameters, from 1.5mm to 4.0mm, to meet the anatomical needs of different patients, and the length of all nails is 400mm. (The proper nail diameter should be less than 40% of the width of the medullary canal.)
